I happened to be scrolling through People Magazine online (I have no television...I have to get my celebrity gossip somewhere...) and found this terribly sad story.
Did you know that across Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama, more than 3,000 kids are still missing or separated from a caregiver as a result of Hurricane Katrina? The data comes from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, who is leading efforts to locate these children.
The thought of these children being away from their parents or caregivers for this long makes my heart ache. I pray they make their ways home.
