New notebooks...
I'm a notebook addict. I have so many blank notebooks just waiting to be used. A few weeks ago I was at the car wash checking out all the cute "stuff" in their little store when I spied a pretty composition notebook. And I mean just that. A simple $2.99 composition journal that you'd find at Walgreen's. Only the front, back and inside covers were re-surfaced with gorgeous floral-patterned paper. They were selling this notebook for, ahem, $33.99.
I didn't buy it. But that little moment gave me some inspiration. Along with my notebook addiction, I love beautiful craft paper. Only I don't scrap enough to use it. And some of this crafty paper isn't suited for scrapbooks. (All you crafty people know what I'm talking about, right?).
I found these tiny, natural-colored 3" x 5" notebooks at Target. The tops were sealed with colored linen-like tape. I decided I'd try my hand at decorating them with some paper I was really itching to use.
Voila, homemade notebook. The one of the left is my creation and the one on the right is the original.
I used Anna Griffin paper and stickers for the covers, inside and out. The tiny tag came with the 2-set notebook pack and I just added a little square of paper to it to match the interior covers of the notebook. All in all, it took me about 15 minutes...mostly because Five was trying to help me. I have some pirate-inspired paper and we're making a notebook for him this weekend.
But this hot pink number resides in my purse for my ideas and notes on the run.
First on the list?
