I've been tagged. I am so bad and responding to tags but am trying to change my ways. So KentuckyGal, here you go!
Thirteen random things about me:
1. I just got a new pair of reading glasses after not having my eyes checked for nearly 7 years. My prescription is almost the same.
2. When I was a wee chick, I used to pretend I was Pinky Tuscadero from Happy Days (future Halloween costume?). Remember that thing she did with the snapping of her fingers and popping of her fists/hands? Guilty.
3. I let my dog sleep on my bed when the hubs is away on business. Shhh, don't tell.
4. I am infected with wanderlust. My current vision: Italy 2008. Repeat after me: "Lake Como or bust."
5. The book Dixieland Sushi by Cara Lockwood made me laugh out loud. A particular scene caused laughter with tears.
6. I love to cook.
7. I hate to clean up after I cook.
8. I very much dislike Guinness beer. It has the flavor that reflects the scent of of dirty, stinky-ass socks.
9. I swear in Spanish when I accidentally burn myself while cooking. It just happens.
10. I am currently reading American Carnival by my former journalism school professor, Neil Henry. It's brilliant. If you are a blogger and want to know what he thinks is happening to mainstream media and reporting because of citizen journalism, this is a must read.
11. I love rain.
12. I was once (or twice) in a beauty pageant.
13. I love the ocean, but I do not like being in the ocean. No body surfing for this California girl.
