Did I ooze enough momminess for you this week on crazedparent with all my sappy posts about Six being all sentimental and deep thinking, and my thoughts on our casita. I have this really tear-inducing story about Q. and feel like I've been neglecting to share his sweetness, but today it's all about stuff.
I have this little pile of postcards and idea notes on my desk. Since I'm in the process of de-cluttering, I thought I'd finally post about them.
I'm digging...
...The Happiness Project. Gretchen Rubin's posts are always very insightful and real, like yesterday's admission that photos are driving her nuts. I know I'm not the only one backlogged on photo albums, but like her other stories, Gretchen gives you that little reminder on what it takes to get stuff done.
...Polar Bears Past Bedtime. Yes, the Magic Treehouse book. We've been reading the series for months and this book is my personal favorite. Six, however, would tell you to read Vacation Under the Volcano.
...Ali Edwards and her "Want Book." We all have things we want (you will see my list below) but sometimes if you write it down and let it sit instead of impulse buying, you'll find that you don't really need what you want. And sometimes, you even forget about what you wanted. (Did you get that?) I triple dig Ali's idea to have a little journal (that you make) keep it accessible, and jot down items you want.
And on that note, I want...
...the cupcake wallet by Queen-Bee Creations. Just cute, dainty and my current "in" color, chocolate brown. Yum. And the Lotus purse is on my wish list too.
...Jewelry for the Soul with an eye on this adorable "Create" cable necklace. I can't stand those posters with the soaring eagles and inspirational messages, but these little pieces of silver with one-word hints are sticking with me.
...the Rainbow Sushi Collection by Scrap in Style TV. I promised myself I wouldn't buy any more craft paper this year until I was caught up on my projects but this set is killing me. The cute hearts, the cupcakes, the chipboard. Damn you Mrs. Geek.
