Overheard in the car on the way to summer camp.
Six blows his nose with audible snot.
Six: "Hey, did you know that boogers come out of your nose at 100 miles per hour?"
Dad: "Wow. I didn't know that."
Six: "Yeah. That's faster than Tim Lincecum can pitch."
Six learned all about Tim Lincecum last week when we watched the All-Star Game. The speed of boogers? From a book called The Booger Boogie. It teaches kids about booger germs and how they need to handle their snot (imagine a chant that says, "Do the booger boogie and BLOW IT OUT").
The connection Six made between boogers and the sharp, young rookie who pitches for the Giants? All on his own.
I impressed and, well, frightened.
