You know when you've been working on something for a long time and it seems to be taking forever, and at some point you want to scrap the whole thing but you don't because your heart and mind know it's good and real and necessary, and you stick with it and then one day you see a result that makes you thisclose to that "something" being real? And you just smile and your steps are lighter and you feel good about your decision, even though you know there is still so, so much more to be done?
This was my day.
I keep repeating my mantra. And rubbing those two washers that hang from a lovely chain around my neck doesn't hurt either.*
